Are you passionate about helping people to live safely, independently and with dignity in their own homes?

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Homelink Caseworker to join our dedicated Living Well Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of older people, disabled residents and vulnerable households across the borough.

Every day is different. One day you could be helping a resident access funding for vital home adaptations, and the next you could be visiting a customer in their home to explore solutions that enable them to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

About the Role

As a Homelink Caseworker, you will guide residents through the process of adapting, repairing and improving their homes. Working closely with residents, occupational therapists, technical officers, contractors and partner agencies, you will manage a varied caseload and ensure customers receive the support and advice they need. You will:

  • Support residents to access Disabled Facilities Grants and other financial assistance.
  • Visit customers in their homes to assess needs and discuss suitable solutions.
  • Manage cases from initial enquiry through to completion of works.
  • Provide advice on welfare benefits, grants and other sources of financial support.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, health professionals and external partners.
  • Help vulnerable residents remain safe, secure and independent in their homes.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Is empathetic, organised and able to manage a diverse caseload.
  • Enjoys problem-solving and finding practical solutions for residents.
  • Can build positive relationships with customers, contractors and partner organisations.
  • Has experience of working with vulnerable people, housing, social care, welfare advice or a related field.
  • Is committed to delivering excellent outcomes and improving residents' wellbeing.

Why Join Us?

At Woking Borough Council, you'll be part of a friendly and supportive team that is passionate about helping people live independently and thrive in their communities.

In return, we offer:

  • A rewarding role with real social impact.
  • Opportunities for learning and professional development.
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement.
  • Flexible and family-friendly working arrangements.

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you're looking for a career where your work has a meaningful impact on people's lives every day, we'd love to hear from you.

Join our Living Well Team and help residents stay independent, safe and connected to their communities.

Apply today and be part of something that truly matters.
