Do you have current or previous experience in working in customer facing housing role and providing essential administrative support to a team?  

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Housing Options team and help us meet the need of homeless people in Waverley.

This role combines front facing customer service with important back-office administration duties.

The post holder will be a point of contact for customers approaching the Council as homeless, will instigate and process monthly housing register reviews and conduct private rented accommodation sign ups.  The role also provides cover with other Co-ordinator colleagues and undertakes essential administration across the Housing Options team.

You will carry out initial Housing Act 1996 Part VII assessments, provide advice and signposting, whilst compiling timely accurate records.  You will manage an ongoing caseload of sign ups and related recovery and tracking tasks.  You will initiate and manage an ongoing caseload of annual reviews.  Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential.

You will also help Officers arrange bookings for emergency accommodation.

The role will be mainly office based but we will need candidates to have the ability to effectively work from home, when required.
