We are looking for two experienced housing professionals to join our Resident Support Team on a one year fixed term contract. This team deliver services to our council housing tenants. If you have experience of the management of social housing, including anti-social behaviour and a detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and welfare benefits, then this is the role for you. Previous experience of working in the social housing sector and a good understanding of our responsibility as a local authority is essential.

Our Case Services Officers are the single point of contact for customers in the following themes:

  • Regulatory – Services which protect the public, the environment, homes and communities.
  • Resident Support – supporting our more vulnerable customers who may need higher levels of support, such as housing and benefits.
  • Business and Income – Services which collect income for the Council and support business customers.

Case Services manage the vast majority of customer case work ensuring we provide excellent integrated services, focussed on our customers needs. The team work closely with both the Locality Services and Specialist Services teams.

To succeed, you will need to be committed to the delivery of excellent customer service, resourceful and flexible in your approach and have a willingness to take ownership of cases seeing them through to a successful conclusion. You will have excellent communication skills, be well organised, have an eye for detail, and the ability to use initiative and creativity to solve challenging problems.

Preferably, you will have experience of working in an office environment, customer services or contact centre, ideally in a local authority. 

The appointment of this post will be made at M1 (£29,346 - £34,007) therefore, applicants must demonstrate that they meet M1 as described in the Role Specification.
