We are looking for two Case Officers to join our Regulatory Team to provide administrative and technical support to the Council’s planning service. You will be an experienced administrator with excellent customer service and exceptional IT skills. Experience of working in local authority planning would be an advantage but full training will be provided.
Our Case Services Officers are the single point of contact for customers in the following themes:
- Regulatory – Services which protect the public, the environment, homes and communities.
- Resident Support – supporting our more vulnerable customers who may need higher levels of support, such as housing and benefits.
- Business and Income – Services which collect income for the Council and support business customers.
Case Services manage the vast majority of customer case work ensuring we provide excellent integrated services, focussed on our customers needs. The team work closely with both the Locality Services and Specialist Services teams.
To succeed, you will need to be committed to the delivery of excellent customer service, resourceful and flexible in your approach and have a willingness to take ownership of cases seeing them through to a successful conclusion. You will have excellent communication skills, be well organised, have an eye for detail, and the ability to use initiative and creativity to solve challenging problems.
Preferably, you will have experience of working in an office environment, customer services or contact centre, ideally in a local authority.
The appointment of this post will be made at TA2 (£24,953 - £28,693) therefore, applicants must demonstrate that they meet TA2 as described in the Role Specification.
