Salary £16,280- £17,457 p.a. 37 hrs per week
Plus contracted overtime of approximately £1,400 per annum and stand-by allowance of approximately £1,500 per annum (pro-rata for job share).
We are looking for an honest, reliable and hardworking individual to successfully deliver a pro-active caretaking service to Runnymede Council tenants.
You will be based at the Garfield Road estate office working alongside a team of caretakers, however you will have specific responsibility for providing a mobile caretaking service across the Council’s housing stock that will include communal cleaning, servicing of temporary accommodation and basic grounds maintenance e.g. grass cutting and leaf clearance. You will be expected to drive a Runnymede vehicle to undertake the functions associated with the post. You will need to have a basic awareness of health and safety regulations, be able to undertake manual handling and work at low level heights
Working across the borough you will be the first point of contact for Council tenants and will need to respond to estate enquiries and escalate issues as necessary to our Housing and Neighbourhood Services Team, Housing Maintenance Team and Customer Services Team. Good communication skills, an ability to work independently and be pro-active is therefore essential to this post.
You should possess a current driving license.
You will be required to participate in a rota which will involve working 9hrs 45mins contracted overtime every third week (including weekends and public holidays). During your active weeks on the rota you will also be required to be on out of hours stand-by and respond to emergency call-outs on the Garfield Road estate.
