It’s an exciting time to join the team at Tandridge District Council. We have recently completed an ambitious transformation project, changing the way we work and using the best technology to deliver services in a way our customers find easy to use and convenient. We are looking for enthusiastic and creative problem solvers to join our Case Services Team for a fixed term of 12 months.
Our Case Services Officers are the single point of contact for customers throughout their journey in the following themes:
- Regulatory – Services that protect the public, the environment, homes and communities
- Resident Support – supporting our more vulnerable customers that may need higher levels of support, such as housing and benefits
- Business and Income – Services that collect income for the council and support business customers
Case Services manage the vast majority of customer case work ensuing that the Council provides excellent integrated services to customers, focussing on their needs through a single point of contact. They work closely with both the Locality Services and Specialist Services
To succeed, you will need to be committed to the delivery of excellent customer service, resourceful and flexible in your approach and have a willingness to take ownership of cases, to see them through to a successful conclusion. You will have excellent communication skills, be a good organiser, have an eye for detail, and the ability to use initiative and creativity to solve challenging problems.
Preferably you will have experience of working in an office environment, customer services or contact centre, ideally in a local authority. Our aim is to develop a team of multi-skilled Case Officers delivering a high degree of resilience across all themes, but we do need a team of officers who between them have knowledge of the range of service areas which we deliver. We are therefore particularly keen to receive applications from candidates with a background in housing management and housing and council tax benefit within resident support.
We have four vacancies, two of the appointments will be made at grade M1 and the remaining appointments will be made at TC2. Therefore, applicants must demonstrate that they meet the criteria of the role at M1 level as described in the Role Specification.
If this is you, and you want to be part of our dynamic team, then we want to hear from you.
In return we’ll offer you a lively and supportive environment, with the opportunity to learn new skills, whilst delivering high quality integrated services to customers.
Interviews will take place on the 2 July 2019.
