Salary £32,484 to £43,874 (Inclusive of July living wage increase) per annum for 37 hours per week depending on experience, qualifications and evidence of continuous professional development. Plus essential car user allowance.

Who we are

Runnymede’s location in Surrey’s Green Belt and at the edge of London, within 10 miles of Heathrow Airport, makes it a stimulating planning environment where the pressure for development has to be balanced with the protection of attractive surroundings. The prospect of expansion at Heathrow, the planned delivery of a major flood alleviation scheme in the Borough and the implementation of a new Local Plan means we are looking to facilitate an ambitious programme of regeneration and development.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a confident, self-motivated and diplomatic person with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to collaboratively deliver positive outcomes to assist shaping the future of the Borough. Applicants with a range of planning experience will be considered, but you will need to be highly organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team. You should have the ability to provide clear and accurate advice to a range of stakeholders with a commitment to excellent customer care and have strong verbal and written skills, with a high attention to detail.  As a case officer, with supportive management, you will be able to see a project through to a successful conclusion.

 

A Masters qualification in Town Planning or equivalent is required as is evidence of your continual professional development. Your qualifications should be backed up with sound knowledge of current legislation, policy, good practice and procedures in relation to the planning system. You must have a full driving license and a vehicle available for work purposes, and have good self-presentation.
