Are you looking for a new career opportunity in a fast developing, forward thinking, ambitious, and commercially focussed organisation?
Demonstrating that you are an innovative, supportive, positive and flexible person, you will be able to contribute towards our financial self-sufficiency by 2020 and our 5 year plan.
Our recently renovated office environment, agile working options and technology are fundamental in supporting you to be most at your most creative, and productive.
About the Role
You will be working in all weathers patrolling all parking restrictions throughout the Reigate & Banstead Borough and Tandridge District, issuing tickets where contraventions have taken place as well as covering other duties such as checking pay and display equipment.
About the Person
We are looking for a calm and confident person to join our experienced busy team.
You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills to be able to deal with the public, sometimes in difficult situations.
Previous parking enforcement experience or relevant on street experience in a similar role is preferred. However, we would consider applicants with experience within a demanding customer care role. Full training will be provided in the use of the hand held computers. A full driving licence is essential.
Employment with the Council will also be subject to enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
In exchange for your expertise, experience and enthusiasm, we will offer support in continuing your personal and career development, in addition to providing a wide range of employment linked benefits.
We provide you with competitive annual leave, and contribute 15% towards the LGPS pension scheme. You will also have access to a range of discounts including local and high street stores, and salary sacrifice schemes including a cycle lease scheme, and ‘Better’ leisure centre membership.
For an informal discussion about the role, please call Clare Sawyer, Parking Operations Manager on 01737 276610.
We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer, supporting the guaranteed interview scheme for disabled and ex-armed forces candidates, who meet the essential criteria for the role.
