We have an exciting opportunity for a Funding Officer to join our Community Development team. This is a permenant position working part time, 20 hours per week.

This role is responsible for the provision of funding information, advice and support to the voluntary, community and not for profit organisations which operate within the Borough of Woking.

You will also work internally with managers providing assistance and support on schemes and projects which they are seeking funding for. In addition to this you will proactively support Woking Borough Council’s own grants programme by reviewing and recommending actions on applications made.

Duties will include providing up to date information to all interested parties with regards to alternative funding sources. Using Grantfinder to identify current sources of funding and providing support and advice with regards to funding applications and offering suggestions for improvements. Robust and effective administration and communication are key to the role along with the ability to develop, facilitate and run workshops covering the various aspects of fundraising.
