Electoral Services Manager

Godalming, S.W. Surrey

Salary range: £48,476 – £54,182 + £1,239 essential car user allowance (F.T.E.) per annum

Do you want a key management role at the heart of the local democratic process?

Do you have the skills and experience necessary to confidently lead a team and to plan and deliver fair, robust and efficient elections?

Are you adept at managing a diverse range of stakeholders, think on your feet, take an overview but also look after the detail?

With a strong track record of successfully planning and delivering elections or a similarly high profile and complex programme of work, you will have the ability to hit the ground running and engage effectively with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with a positive and adaptable approach who has a meticulous attention to detail but is also able to work at pace and deliver results under pressure.

In this role you will work in conjunction with the Returning Officer to plan, manage and run all Parish, District, County Council, Parliamentary and European elections and Referendums and will lead the delivery of initiatives which encourage the engagement of local people in the democratic process.

This post is a full time permanent role, 37 hours per week. However, all applications will be considered.

For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Robin Taylor, Head of Policy and Governance on 01483 523497.

Closing date for applications: 9:00am on Tuesday 23 April 2019

Interview date: Monday 29 April 2019

We do not accept CVs without a completed application form. Strictly no agencies please.
