Are you an experienced office assistant looking for a new opportunity with great prospects for future development?
This role will provide support for the Strategy and Business Management function of Joint Waste Solutions (JWS), the team that delivers recycling improvement work on behalf of a partnership that includes all of Surrey’s councils and manages a £13.5m waste and street cleaning collection contract on behalf of four partners.
You will work closely with staff across JWS to support the delivery of a broad range of projects and business as usual activity, and will coordinate responses to requests for information. You will help to ensure the smooth running of the organisation, with a particular emphasis on office facilities, equipment, systems and procedures, and will help organise meetings and events.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in an office environment providing administrative/business support. That includes organising meetings and preparing reports, as well as undertaking research, recording and reporting findings. You’ll need good IT skills, a methodical approach to your work and the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues.
