Case Officer (Housing Solutions)

Salary:                                      £28,366 - £32,498

Contract:                                  Fixed Term - 12 month Contract

Hours:                                      37 per week

Are you able to work with individuals and families to identify their key needs and support them to resolve their housing situation?

Can you tell when you need to hold someone's hand to get them to a solution or when you can offer advice to help someone resolve their housing situation themselves?

Can you make the connection between people's varying needs to identify a pathway that leads them to settled housing?

Can you find and work with the various agencies or networks that can help you help our residents?

With knowledge of housing and homelessness law, understanding of welfare benefits and social care and a minimum of one year working in frontline service delivering advice and support, we are looking for a committed Case Officer to work with families and individuals at risk of homlessness to find housing solutions, either in their current home or through a planned move.

You will have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, be able to build positive and motivating relationships with clients, and have a strong ethos of joint working with partner agencies.

You will be able to demonstrate that through your knowledge and communication skills you have a track record in finding positive outcomes for customers and contributing to service development.
