Help us to protect, develop and maintain our borough
Are you passionate about protecting, developing and promoting public green spaces? We want to hear from you.
We are looking for an experienced green spaces officer with formal horticultural/landscape management training and experience to join our professional and highly committed team.
As a Green Spaces Officer you will take an active part in managing grounds maintenance contracts, the development and delivery of environmental landscape improvements and encouraging community engagement schemes to enhance the borough.
You will be flexible in your approach to the job, show initiative and make the most of your communications and negotiation skills to develop and promote Elmbridge’s green spaces.
In exchange, we offer you the experience of a highly committed Green Spaces Team which has received several awards and was Best Regional Large Park Winner in the South and South East in Bloom Competition.
We know we ask a lot, but the good news is that we give a lot too.
- Flexibility: And we really mean it! We know you have to juggle work and life commitments and we are happy and open to discussing the right mix for you.
- Wellbeing: When you thrive Elmbridge thrives, which is why we have developed a strong and varied wellbeing programme for our employees, from mindfulness to lunchtime table tennis – the options are there for you.
- Learning and development: We all know learning doesn’t stop when you leave university, it is an ongoing journey and we will support you on that journey by creating a bespoke learning and development plan.
If you want to play an active role within a multi-disciplined team, with opportunities to develop your management skills in leisure facilities, apply online today!
