Runnymede Borough Council are seeking a Planned Maintenance Officer to join our housing repairs planned team. Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager, you will deliver a programme of planned projects, providing a high quality customer experience.
Working within a small team you will need a good knowledge of building construction, duties will include assisting in the administration and implementation of planned & cyclical maintenance programmes; delivery of programmed schemes on time and within budget; under supervision you will survey, specify and commission the procurement of consultants and contractors; effective contract management in accordance with NEC or other appropriate contracts; ensuring property databases and asset register are up to date and accurate.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of relevant construction health & safety legislation, schedule of rates valuation and payment authorisation.
You will have the ability to deal effectively and sympathetically with tenants regarding their maintenance issues and an understanding of performance targets for customer satisfaction. You should have experience of supervising contractors and be able to work under the pressures generated from working within a high performing team delivering a quality service. A DBS check will be required to be undertaken for this role.
What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this position you must possess: Previous experience of Planned Maintenance projects; Experience of contract management and supervision of contracts; Practical experience of delivering a front facing customer focused service; Good communication skills (both verbal and written); A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
