This permanent role has a starting salary of £34,660 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Enabling Independence Team as a Team Leader, helping to make a real difference to residents across Surrey.

We offer flexible hybrid working, with colleagues typically coming together in person for 2 to 3 days per week and working from home for the remainder of the week.

About The Role

The Team Leader will coordinate the delivery of the Enabling Independence Service within their locality, ensuring a high-quality, strengths-based approach that promotes independence and recovery. They will lead a team of up to eight staff, providing supervision, performance management, coaching and development support, while overseeing referrals, work allocation, support planning and service quality.

Working closely with colleagues and partner agencies, the successful candidate will support day-to-day service delivery, manage operational priorities and respond to emerging needs and complex situations. They will also play an important role in supporting the service through Local Government Reorganisation, helping to embed new ways of working, drive continuous improvement and maintain positive outcomes for people accessing the service.

Your Application

  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office packages and Internet
  • Access to a car and a driving licence
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and respond flexibly to changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in completing assessments, support plans and risk assessments

This role is currently employed by Surrey County Council and will remain so until then.
