Job advert - Learning and Development Officer
Salary:
£43,571 - £44,623

Hours: 36 hours a week

Location: Civic Centre, Esher / hybrid

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Learning and Development Officer to shape and coordinate our learning, development and wellbeing offer.

Working as part of our Policy and Performance team, you’ll play a key role in enhancing the employee experience, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring our workforce has the skills and support needed to succeed.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact during a period of significant change for local government.

In this role, you will:

  • coordinate learning and development activities across the organisation
  • organise internal surveys and consultation activities
  • help deliver initiatives that promote our values and behaviours
  • oversee mandatory training compliance
  • maintain our learning management system and monitor training outcomes
  • build strong relationships with colleagues and external training providers

About you

You will be a highly organised, pro-active individual who can manage a high workload and conflicting priorities. You will have:

  • strong problem solving and evaluation skills
  • excellent communication and organisational skills
  • experience of analysing data and using feedback to improve services
  • a learning and development qualification or relevant experience
  • experience of working in local government
