We are looking for 3 Planning professionals as Regulatory Specialists.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Specialist Team. This team ensures that the Council provides customer focused services, maintains training levels across the Council and provides experienced advice. Our busy team needs your enthusiasm and drive to help us deliver for our residents and make our services as efficient and effective as possible. If you feel you could offer what we need, and you have experience of planning applications and/or planning enforcement this could be the right role for you. This is a permanent full-time post and you will need to have a full UK driving licence.

You will be responsible for managing the more complex planning and enforcement cases as well as supporting case workers, our locality team and our customer advisors. Experience of attending committee and undertaking appeal work would be an advantage, as would eligibility for membership of the RTPI. We would also expect you in your specialist role to be responsible for ensuring any changes in legislation are cascaded through the organisation as well as being flexible enough to be involved in other regulatory work

The appointment of posts will be made between M2 and M4 (£33,774 - £50,907) and therefore applicants must demonstrate that they meet at least M2 as described in the Role Specification.
