Salary -    £21,175 – £23,383 per annum          

Permanent, full time

Working 41 hours in the summer and 29 hours in the winter, you will be paid 37 hours pro-rata.

To be shortlisted for interview your application should clearly evidence

General standard of education to secondary level or equivalent

City & Guilds Horticulture Level 2, NVQ Horticulture Level 3 or equivalent

A strong and broad knowledge and experience in grounds maintenance and sports turf preparation

Awareness of the Health and Safety at Work Act

Experience of supervising and directing a team

Able to operate, maintain and control mowing machinery and a range of powered tools

Good written communication skills with the ability to carry out general administrative tasks such as audit reports, timesheets, stores orders

Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people including members of the public, volunteers and community groups

Strong people management skills to supervise and motivate staff, organise and prioritise workloads

Aptitude to understand and comply with relevant bylaws

Good organisational skills

Strong customer service skills

Physically capable of undertaking the duties as set out in the job description, which may include lifting pedestrian mowers

Willingness to undertake training on a wide range of grounds maintenance equipment  to ensure the services contractual obligations can be met

Hold a valid driving licence
