This role has a starting salary of £41,585 per annum, based on working 36 hours per week.
Surrey Fire & Rescue Service are looking for someone to carry out the role of Community Resilience Support Team Leader based out of our Headquarters in Reigate.

About the Role
The Community Resilience Support Team (CRST) forms part of Surrey Fire & Rescue Service’s Protection and Prevention support remit.
This role leads a team of five specialist administrators, overseeing statutory, time and compliance critical administrative functions in business fire safety, protection and prevention. Responsibilities include managing workloads, performance, rotas, leave, and absences to ensure service resilience. The role also involves team recruitment, induction, training, and professional development to build a capable team supporting compliance-led activities.
The role has a strong coordination focus, overseeing the processing and allocation of statutory consultations and referrals, including Building Regulations and Licensing applications, ensuring timely, high‑quality responses with appropriate records retained. The team also supports the wider inspection function by completing essential administrative tasks linked to fire safety audits and inspection outcomes. This includes preparing and processing documentation arising from routine, reactive and follow‑up inspections, maintaining accurate internal and external records, and managing case files associated with formal enforcement action.
You will provide and lead quality assurance for sensitive legal documents, manage information governance for casework and incident reports, coordinate actions with Fire Safety and Community Safety Managers, and oversee mandatory data submissions such as Home Office requests and the NFCC Enforcement Register.
This role includes organising Fire Safety Manager meetings, maintaining action trackers, planning quarterly CPD events for the Protection team, and managing financial tasks like requisitions. It is a leadership position focused on compliance, people management, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
