About the Role

The ASC Business Systems and Digital Team play a vital role in ensuring that Adult Social Care business systems (including LAS, ContrOCC, Portals and AOSS) are robust, efficient, and well-maintained to support frontline staff and deliver high-quality services to residents. We work collaboratively across the council to guarantee our systems are fit for purpose, regularly upgraded, and effectively integrated, with a strong emphasis on information quality, data accuracy, and user training. Our forward-thinking approach sees us embracing new technologies to improve system functionality and drive innovation, ensuring our digital platforms are future-proofed and meet the evolving needs of the service.

We are seeking a proactive individual to drive improvements in ASC business systems and processes. You will collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities, develop and implement solutions, and ensure the effective use of our core systems. The role involves translating business needs into clear work plans, supporting system upgrades and new implementations, and ensuring integration with related systems where necessary. You will also lead on test planning, engage key stakeholders, and contribute to the delivery of key projects in line with business priorities.

Over the coming years, as Surrey County Council transitions to East Surrey Council and West Surrey Council, the team will play a critical role in ensuring seamless operation of business systems across both new authorities. We will be responsible for guaranteeing that these systems are fully functional and suitable from the outset. All team members will contribute to this process, presenting a valuable opportunity to help shape the future direction of Adult Social Care business systems within the new authorities.

To be successful in this role you will need to be inquisitive and methodical with a commitment to quality assurance and working collaboratively to deliver system developments.
