About the Role
Are you looking for a new career opportunity in a fast developing, forward thinking, and ambitious organisation?
Demonstrating that you are an innovative, supportive, positive and flexible person, you will play a key role in tackling anti-social behaviour in the Borough and helping residents and visitors to feel safe whether at home, outdoors or at work. We are an ambitious team working to support residents experiencing anti-social behaviour, to provide early intervention and prevention work to reduce anti-social behaviour and to help deliver the Council’s community safety action plan.
About the Person
With a proven track record of investigating suspected cases of anti-social behaviour and working with other agencies and residents to resolve the problems, you’ll also need excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to prepare evidence and supporting information to secure successful resolution, including prosecutions where appropriate. You will have a good knowledge of antisocial behaviour legislation and practice, and the principles of information sharing, and where appropriate will be able to produce summary reports to inform the council and partner agencies.
Preferably you will also have experience supporting the development and implementation of initiatives to successfully reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, including partnership events and campaigns to promote awareness of and engagement with a range of community safety issues.
In exchange for your expertise, experience and enthusiasm, we will offer support in continuing your personal and career development, in addition to providing a wide range of employment linked benefits.
We provide you with competitive annual leave, and contribute 15% towards the LGPS pension scheme. You will also have access to a range of discounts including local and high street stores, and salary sacrifice schemes including a cycle lease scheme, and ‘Better’ leisure centre membership.
For an informal discussion about the role, please call Sarah Crosbie, Partnerships Team Leader, on 01737 276516.
We are proud to support the guaranteed interview schemes for those meeting the essential criteria for the role, under the Disability Confident employer scheme for disabled candidates, and the ‘Veteran’s scheme’ for ex-armed forces candidates.
Closing date: Sunday 20 January 2019
