You will be primarily based in our offices in Kingston. You may occasionally be required to work from other Orbis locations.

Surrey County Council is one of the founding members of the Orbis partnership, which was formed in 2015 and serves the local authorities of Surrey County Council, East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council. The purpose of this partnership is to deliver greater value for our councils, residents and customers by increasing efficiencies and exploiting the benefits of sharing people, resources and technology.
In June 2018 the Service Transition team was created in the Information Technology & Digital department from an established Surrey County Council best practice team. The new team is responsible for all the service transition processes across the Orbis partnership.
The Service Transition team manages the service asset & configuration management, change management, and service transition processes. In this role you would gain an understanding of all these processes through supporting them and deputising on occasion for the process leads. Staff development and IT service management certification opportunities are available.
The role involves;
- Managing, monitoring and reporting of service transition deliverables and documents against agreed timescales
- assisting with the processing of change records
- working with team members and influencing others.
