An existing opportunity has arisen to join the Property Services team at Woking Borough Council.

We are seeking a pro-active person with the ability to deliver a wide-ranging financial and administrative workload who can work well under pressure to join our Property Services Team. Previous experience of administrative and financial duties is essential.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to the raising and monitoring of purchase orders, preparation of invoices for payment for ad-hoc works and service charges. Processing and monitoring of utilities and business rates. Raising of invoices and debt monitoring. Assist with moniotiring and management of budgets, for revenue and individual projects. Leading on accruals and supporting year end processes.

Ideally the successful candidate will have a broad understanding of building terminology and a basic understanding of the basic principles of building contracts, building regulations and planning, however not essential. We expect you to be able to demonstrate the ability to manage, plan, and prioritise as well as an accurate eye for detail. We expect you to have proficient Microsoft office skills, particularly excel.
