Addlestone Social Centres – New Haw and Addlestone

Salary Range £14,266 - £15,519 pro rata, depending on experience for 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role

We are currently seeking a confident, enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Cook to be a part of our small friendly kitchen teams based at our Social Centres for Older People in both New Haw and Addlestone.

The Centres provide activities; services & support for older & vulnerable residents of Runnymede, which includes the provision of a high quality, two course home cooked meal.

You, along with the Head Cook will budget and plan menus, prepare daily meals and maintain adequate stock levels.  You will also stock a tea bar with freshly prepared cakes and sandwiches.

You will be expected to deputise for the Head Cook for periods of absence, so experience of supervising staff would be desirable.  We are looking for someone who is committed to providing a high-quality service and who enjoys working with people. 

About You

Experience of working in this environment is preferred, as we appreciate the challenges of a commercial kitchen can be hard work and hot, so candidates must be physically able to work in this setting.

A flexible approach & a friendly personality are also key attributes

A full UK driving licence, along with access to a vehicle would be desirable as you will be expected to commute within the two sites.
