About the Role

Are you looking for a new career opportunity in a fast developing, forward thinking, and ambitious organisation?

Demonstrating that you are an innovative, supportive, positive and flexible person, you will play a key role in supporting our residents to design and deliver projects, services and events which help them realise their ambitions for the place they live.

About the Person

You will have a proven track record of working with communities to address inequalities, with the confidence and experience to lead on the development of new projects and support our networks of active citizens and local partners.

You will be a team player, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders but also able to work alone and build supportive networks to help you deliver for your community. You will be able to provide reports on your work and be self sufficient in administrative tasks. An understanding of the particular requirements of working within a political organisation and alongside elected members would be an advantage.

You will also have an interest in supporting the community to thrive, particularly though work with the voluntary, community and faith sector. You will have a flexible approach and in addition to working on community lead projects you will work alongside our partners Surrey County Council to develop the offer at the Merstham Hub.

 Staff Benefits

In exchange for your expertise, experience and enthusiasm, we will offer support in continuing your personal and career development, in addition to providing a wide range of employment linked benefits.

We provide you with competitive annual leave and contribute 15% towards the LGPS pension scheme. You will also have access to a range of discounts including local and high street stores, and salary sacrifice schemes including a cycle lease scheme, and ‘Better’ leisure centre membership.
