We are looking for a proactive, experienced manager to lead Runnymede’s response to the Homelessness Reduction Act. The successful candidate will have experience of managing a front line housing advice and homelessness service. If you are able to work on your own initiative and are happy to work extensively with external agencies and partners this is an opportunity to shape our service to meet the requirements of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
We need a committed and innovative individual to manage and motivate this multi-disciplinary team. This is an opportunity to be a member of an active, mutually supportive Housing Management Team, working with other heads of service to create a positive working environment which enables good performance and innovation.
As we are a stock retained authority, this post holder will supervise the Allocations process for our own properties and nominations to Registered Providers. This post holder will have responsibility for carrying out Section 202 reviews for the Council.
You will also have responsibility for producing a 5 year Homelessness Strategy for the Borough, monitoring its Action Plan and regularly reviewing the Allocations Scheme. They will ensure that the Housing Solutions Teams are robust and effective. The management of Temporary Accommodation is within this post’s remit and there is a management hierarchy in place within Housing Solutions to enable this person to take a strategic approach and focus on exemplary service delivery.
