Are you competent in a range of complex planning issues, including planning legislation and national policy?

We are advertising a number of jobs to support the onward delivery of housing, which is a corporate priority.  The Council is committed to investing in the Planning Service.

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Planner to play a key part in shaping the future of Waverley. Unprecedented development pressures mean that you will have the opportunity to work on a rewarding range of challenging and complex planning applications. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking planning team dealing with a wide range of planning applications in a very attractive Borough.

Your role will be to:

- Manage development proposals, maximising the benefit to the Community.

- Defend Council planning decisions at appeal.

- Support and mentor junior members of the team.

This post is a full-time permanent role, 37 hours per week. However, all applications will be considered.

Please note that progression to PLN6b is dependant on gaining Full Membership of the RTPI.
