Runnymede and Surrey Heath Borough Councils are working in partnership to deliver Community Transport services and meals to vulnerable residents across Runnymede and Surrey Heath boroughs.  We are, therefore, currently seeking an organised, capable, enthusiastic individual who, ideally has knowledge of the service we provide and can operate transport booking software, You will be required to arrange transport schedules ensuring each journey utilizes the bus route to its fullest extent. You will be required to drive when required and to assist or cover for the Community transport & Meals at Home Supervisor.  It is desirable that the candidate has a D1 driving licence.   

The role involves driving responsibilities (providing door to door transport to various groups of vulnerable individuals: older people, people with physical disabilities and children with special educational needs) as well as cover for the electronic scheduling system ensuring the productive and effective operation of the Community Transport fleet.  The successful candidate will need to have practical skills and be sensitive to the needs and requirements of a wide and different client groups.
