Permanent full-time contract, 36 hours per week
Salary: Scale 4 £29,028 - £31,390 pa
Are you interested in working at the heart of local democracy?
This is a great opportunity to work at the heart of the Council, supporting our electoral arrangements.
You will be supporting the work of the team in the timely delivery of fair, open and transparent Elections, including the booking of polling place venues, processing postal vote applications and producing polling station and count stationery.
You will assist in the compilation and maintenance of an annual Register of Electors through processing individual voter registration forms during the annual canvass and monthly updates, to meet statutory requirements, including scanning, data input and system checks, as well as effectively dealing with enquiries.
About you
- You are an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a ‘can do’ approach who wants to support the delivery of elections
- You will be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working within a small, well regarded team
- You are well organised, with an eye for detail and accuracy in all you do
- You must have good ICT skills as you will be responsible for accurate data entry, undertaken using electoral software, for which training can be provided.
