Our Housing Needs is a busy, thriving team who are constantly working towards creating a community free of homelessness.  We provide advice, information and assistance with all housing issues within the Borough.

We are looking for 2 motivated and enthusiastic individuals to become part of the team. Whilst previous experience would be welcome, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Position 1: 37 hours per week (Full Time) 

Position 2: 26.75 hours per week (Part Time) - there can be a degree of flexibility on how these hours are worked for the successful candidate. 

You will advise and support clients in navigating housing situations and will enable mediation between tenants and landlords and within families in order to prevent homelessness.  The job also includes producing advisory literature regarding housing issues, creating reports for Senior officers, and stepping in to secure appropriate emergency accommodation.

As this job involves contact with vulnerable groups, successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).  Assistance will be given by the Council and further details will be in the job application pack. A full driver’s licence is also required.
