Woking Borough Council has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join our busy and dedicated Environmental Health Team as an Environmental Health Officer on a full time one year fixed term basis.

Reporting to the Principal Environmental Health Officer, in this role you'll be mainly responsible for official food controls, infectious disease investigations, health and safety enforcement and accident investigations. The postholder will carry out the full range of food premises interventions and health and safety investigation and enforcement work. We need a fully qualified and competent officer with recent experience in a similar role.

It is important that you have a positive and confident outlook, with excellent communication skills enabling effective working with a diverse range of business operators and members of the public.

This role requires the post holder to hold a valid full driver’s licence, have access to a vehicle and the flexibility to work out of hours when necessary.
