About the role
An opportunity for a part-time Careline and CCTV Operator has arisen within our award-winning Safer Runnymede team based in Addlestone, Surrey.
The Careline and CCTV Operator will be working on a structured shift rota which includes early, lates, nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays, you will be monitoring town centre CCTV cameras across the county of Surrey, monitoring alarm receiving systems and responding to calls from the elderly or vulnerable on the “Careline” Community Telecare System. You will also act as a first point of contact for all Borough related issues outside of normal working hours. This is a rewarding job with great potential for job satisfaction.
We are looking for somebody on a part time basis, with considerable experience of working with the public in either a customer services or control centre environment. You should have excellent observational and communication skills together with a caring and patient approach. Current S.I.A public space CCTV operators licence, experience of Telecare and/or liaison with the police and having a good local knowledge will be advantageous.
Early shifts times are 0630hrs -1430hrs, late shift times are from 1430hrs - 2230hrs and night shift times are from 2230hrs - 0630hrs.
Part time applicants will be working the same shift times for each shift but doing three days of each set separated by six rest days.
All shifts have a 20% enhancement added to them to cover bank holidays, weekends and unsociable hours.
Full training on all systems will be given.
About you
The successful applicant for the Careline and CCTV Operator post will be subject to NPPV2 (Surrey Police) vetting process. Appointment is subject to successful vetting by Surrey Police – please be advised this process can take up to 12 weeks.
