Housing Officer

An opportunity has arisen within the Housing Management Team for a Housing Officer. This role is part of a team of officers delivering and overseeing the provision of a high-level tenancy management service, ensuring the best outcomes and resolutions.
Accountabilities:
- Manage a caseload of complex issues, developing strong and committed partnerships, working in collaboration with other departments and external agencies. Able to engage effectively with Members, residents, and colleagues to deliver the best resolutions for landlord, tenant and community.
- Managing a patch of properties, working to get solutions on case management, and to process tenancy work to ensure tenancy details are updated in line with procedure and within timescales.
- Work with colleagues to ensure all patches are covered, taking a pro-active role in the delivery of the team’s work plan, goals, and values. To support customer services with tenancy and case advice.
- Identify and deal with safeguarding issues that may arise, linking to corporate teams including making referrals to appropriate agencies providing inspirational behaviour, role modelling, purpose and understanding any personal issues.
This post is a full-time role.
