 About the Role

As a Benefits Assessment Officer, your main role will be to assess Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims accurately and within performance deadlines, as well as dealing with customers both face to face and on the telephone. 

Ideally, you will have previous experience of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction processing and a good working knowledge of current legislation in Housing Benefit. Although not essential, experience of NEC RB systems would be an advantage along with the knowledge of NECDM document imaging system. However, full training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and well organised team player to join us in delivering a professional and exceptional Revenues and Benefits service to the public.

You must be reliable, confident and able to work under pressure. You will have experience of dealing with customer enquiries both in person and on the telephone.
