ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT OFFICER - PLANNING
HOURS: 37 HOURS PER WEEK
SALARY RANGE: £19,991 - £22,921 PER ANNUM
CONTRACT: FIXED TERM - 12 MONTHS
We are seeking a flexible and enthusiastic individual, with excellent administration skills, to join the Council’s combined planning and local land charges administrative team.
You will be responsible for helping to process planning applications including notifying relevant parties and issuing decision notices, as well as involvement in other planning-related work including dealing with pre-planning enquiries. This is a busy team and you must be able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and team working skills, together with the ability to use Microsoft Office systems will be essential; previous administrative experience in an office environment is a must, along with the ability to follow processes accurately; use of databases is desirable.
Previous planning administrative experience and a sound understanding of planning’s processes would be advantageous, but not essential. Training in specialised IT systems is available.
Duties will include dealing with the public (mainly via telephone) and front-line contact centre staff, so experience of working in a customer-focused environment would also be desirable.
