£18,529 - £19,182 for 30 hrs per week
Working pattern: 09.30am – 3.30pm or 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday - Friday
About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a caring and enthusiastic individual to join our small team of committed staff at the Windle Valley Day Centre, Bagshot.
As well as providing a traditionally cooked midday meal we also offer a range of activities for clients, which include physical, mental, and social activities, whilst also providing support to some clients who may otherwise feel isolated.
The key duties of this post holder will include assisting clients to access facilities and services when required. Encouraging clients to engage with others, participate in activities that they have arranged and monitor their wellbeing, whilst being a point of contact whilst in the centre.
About you
Well-developed people skills, previous experience of working with older people and activity coordinating would be desirable to support and encourage clients to participate and engage in some of the recreational activities at the centre.
You will need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as some administrative duties may also be required.
The ideal candidate will possess a caring, patient, empathetic nature with the ability to be flexible when required. The successful postholder will be available to assist in the provision of an Emergency Rest Centre, in the event of a Civil Emergency and may also be asked to attend other RBC Day Centres as required to ensure service continuity.
This post holder will also be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check and hold a full clean UK driving license.
