About the role:

Do you have considerable experience of leading work to support local communities? Do you have the strategic understanding to lead on our work on community safety and with the voluntary sector?

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, engaging and driven leader to oversee service development and delivery in our partnerships and safety team. Our partnerships and safety teams are at the heart of our work with local organisations to meet the needs of our communities. You will be responsible for co-ordinating our community safety partnership work as well as meeting our statutory community safety responsibilities. You will lead on work with the voluntary, community and faith sector, including delivering a range of grant programmes. In this rewarding role you will ensure a culture of collaborative working, and develop opportunities, projects and innovative solutions that meet community needs and develop the depth and strength of our partnerships.

About the Person:

•You will have strong experience of leading teams, particularly in the community safety or partnerships arenas
•You will have experience of leading staff, with robust leadership skills
•You will have demonstrable experience of partnership working across the public and voluntary sectors and delivering results
•You will ideally have experience of project management, as well as the ability to ensure appropriate evaluation and impact reporting across all areas of the teams work
•You will be a competent user of digital technology and common IT packages (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
•You will possess a full driver’s licence and have use of a car

Qualifications:
•A qualification in a social science or related discipline - Preferred
