About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Health Officer within with enthusiasm and drive to join our multidisciplinary Residential Team.

You will be joining a supportive, friendly team and will report directly to the Residential Team Leader. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, ambitious, committed, self-motivated with a positive attitude to join our team to provide excellent customer service to support us in delivering first-class services. Day to day role will include –

  • The investigation of statutory nuisance complaints arising from residential premises.
  • Responding to planning consultations
  • Public health funerals
  • Waste and public health concerns arising from residential premises.
  • Construction & demolition complaints
  • Waste enforcement in respect of fly tipping, including environmental crime.

About you

  • BSc/MSc in Environmental Health
  • EHORB registered or equivalent
  • Previous experience is essential.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communicator, able to influence residents.
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
