Part Time Head Cook - Manor Farm Centre
£16,772 - £17,764, depending on experience for 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the Role
We are currently seeking a confident, enthusiastic and motivated Head Cook to manage our small friendly kitchen team at Manor Farm Centre.
The Centres provide activities; services & support for older & vulnerable residents of Runnymede which includes the provision of a high quality, two course home cooked meal. Specifically, you will work as part of a team preparing and serving meals.
You will, along with the Day Services Manager will plan menus, monitor and work within budgets and prepare nutritional meals for people attending the day centre. Along with the Day Services Manager you will provide adequate resources to ensure service delivery.
About you
You will need experience of large-scale catering and of stock control mechanisms. You will also need to manage the tea bar ensuring its fully stocked with freshly prepared cakes and sandwiches on a daily basis.
You will oversee that the kitchen is maintained to the highest hygiene practices and meet the requirements of the regularity food hygiene standards, including maintaining and documenting accurate records.
Although an enjoyable and rewarding role, kitchen work can be hard work and hot, so must be physically able to work in a commercial kitchen environment.
A flexible approach and a friendly personality are key attributes for this role.
