This is an exciting time for Epsom & Ewell’s HR team who are at the forefront of driving change across the organisation. We are seeking a dynamic and exceptional HR&OD Business Partner with strong generalist and change management experience to join our small, friendly team that delivers HR support to a varied and diverse workforce of over 300 employees.

We will also be moving to a new office location which will entail significant changes in the way and where we work. This is an important and complex move for the Council, and you will be part of helping to make that a success. The HR&OD Business Partner will play a significant role in embedding the new ways of working across the Council. 

You will be a strategic thinker providing a professional HR service across all people related matters, as well as delivering initiatives and projects to support our workforce as they deliver on our priorities for the Borough.  You will also support teams to develop their skills, manage succession plans, and identify new training solutions through a programme of learning and development to ensure that staff have the skills required for now and the future.

This is an interesting and varied role in which no two days are the same. You must be comfortable in engaging with all levels of staff and be able to build professional credibility as well as making sound business decisions. You will be working in a busy environment, so it is essential that you are well organised, resilient, and flexible.

This is a full-time role, although we would consider a minimum of 4 days per week for the right candidate and a mixture of office and remote working.
