About the role

Runnymede Borough Council is seeking a Mould and Damp Inspector to work within the Housing Technical Service Team, who deliver day to day repairs and void management for the Council housing stock. This role will be pivotal to addressing any related mould and damp enquiries from our customers and ensuring that we capture, manage, and eradicate such issues by adopting a good understanding of building pathology to address concern by appointing and undertaking appropriate remedial works via our selected contractors.

You will be expected to lead on all cases and self-manage your workload, keeping customers and senior management updated and ensuring that on-going works are done to a high standard. In conjunction with these tasks, it will be critical that a detailed account is maintained using our NEC Housing software application making sure rigorous notes and evidence is obtained to ensure compliance and mitigate future and on-going dis-repair claims.

It will also be expected that this role, when case loads allow, that the post holder will be adaptable to assist with day-to-day repairs as directed by the Technical Services Repairs Manager.
