Location of work: Horley Community Centre
Salary: £25,701 - £26,829 (pro rata)
Basis: Permanent, Part time (15 hours a week Mon-Wed)
About the Role
Are you flexible, innovative and supportive? Would you like to work in a developing team assisting in providing services and activities for the benefit of our residents? Reigate and Banstead are seeking to appoint a Centre Assistant to support the Centre Manager and assist with the development of Horley Community Centre.
This is a varied role working within a busy team. You will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks and take the lead on service improvement projects to help develop the centre, as well as provide assistance to centre users, volunteers and hirers.
The role holder would be based at Horley but will be expected to travel to other centres in the borough to support centre events as required.
About you
With a proven track record of administrative work, including operating and maintaining databases and using a range of IT packages and software, you’ll also need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of:
•Being a flexible and effective team member, supporting the service and its objectives by taking a flexible approach to working across the team.
•You will have experience of being well organised working in a busy environment.
•Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•You will be highly motivated and confident working with a range of partners, volunteers, residents and organisations.
•You will exhibit behaviours focused on service improvement projects, coordinating with others, being creative in a customer focused service area.
•Experience in supporting and marketing the centres through appropriate platforms.
