The Council has recently published our Digital Strategy 2022-25 demonstrating our ambition to become a digital leader. As part of this we are embarking on a digital transformation program to realise the benefits of our Microsoft 365 implementation and develop new ways of working across the Council to support our citizens and local businesses.

We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Application Support Analyst with excellent communication skills to join our team and become the subject matter expert for the Council’s M365 applications.

You will need strong M365 skills with experience and proficiency in configuring, managing, and supporting SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams as well as some knowledge of Power Apps/Automate and PowerShell.

In addition, you will help support the Councils’ web estate including the corporate website and Intranet.

You will have experience working in a technical environment and you should be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Ideally you will have knowledge of MSSQL databases, HTML, CSS and JQuery.

Key responsibilities –

  • Manage SharePoint sites, libraries, metadata term store and permissions.
  • Assist users with document and records management, version control, and workflows within SharePoint Online.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.
  • Configure Teams settings and integrations.
  • Automate business processes using Power Automate.
  • Provide guidance and advice to users and Digital Services colleagues on security best practices, data protection, and compliance features within SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
  • Work with the Content Manager to support and maintain the Council’s web environment including the Intranet.
