Career Grade Engineers
Are you looking for more security in your engineering career? Are you fed up with traipsing all over the country for your projects? Do you want to get more involved and have a varied breadth to your role which sees you working on anything from small to multi-million pound schemes?
If yes then the award-winning ambitious North Somerset Council highways team might be the right place for you. Winner of the ‘Local Authority of the Year’ (South West Insider Magazine) we are looking for motivated and talented people to join our team.
Our career grade scheme gives you the chance to earn more by developing skills, competence and qualifications. Whether you are just starting your career, looking to move up the ladder or a principal engineer we would love to hear from you.
Our Castlewood office is in the beautiful town of Clevedon, just off the M5 motorway, giving easy commutable access from neighbouring Bristol, Bath and the surrounding countryside.
With our council’s commitment to investing in roads our department has a number of opportunities, at all levels, mostly in multi-disciplinary teams.
Whether it’s redesigning a motorway junction (which won us Highways Magazine’s Congestion Reduction Scheme of the Year), designing and building drainage schemes or building multi-million pound roads such as the South Bristol link you can find the right challenge for you in North Somerset.
Whilst these are full-time permanent posts, proposals around term time only or part time working will also be considered, to take into consideration individual circumstances.
