Senior Technician

Are you a motivated and talented Technician looking to progress and develop your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technician to join our forward-thinking local authority using the latest Highway Improvement techniques to manage its network.

Based within North Somerset, boasting both beautiful coastlines and rural countryside, you will play a key role in this essential function to improve our highways across the region.  Assisting on design production and concepts as well as providing support to the Team Manager for Neighbourhood Traffic and Road Safety on various design and improvement schemes, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and play your part within a successful team.

As an effective communicator, you will have an interesting and varied workload and a great working environment. 

As the Senior Technician you will be responsible for:

• Producing AutoCAD drawings to support larger projects for engineers
• Assisting in Design production or developing designs on smaller schemes
• The development of engineering solutions and presentation of engineering options with guidance and supervision
• Assist in producing design concepts, design details, drawings and other technical documents for minor works or assist Engineers as part of scheme design.

Ideally, successful candidates will have qualification level 3 or 4
