The starting salary for this role is £9,299 per annum, working 12 hours per week (pro rata to £27,897 per annum FTE).

The Children, Families and Learning Directorate provides a range of highly specialist services to children and young people.

The role will be based at our Woodhatch offices in Reigate, although some remote working is possible.

About the role

We are currently looking for a Court Administration Officer to join the team. In this role, you will prepare legal documents for prosecution cases, check court files, and administer the Penalty Notice process. You will act as the first point of contact in the absence of the Court Presentation Officer, liaising with customers and other service departments. As well as this, you will keep track of information, update and maintain spreadsheets and databases, take meeting minutes, and provide performance information to support requests from the DfE.

You will be highly organised and willing to take responsibility and use initiative, comfortable in setting your priorities and meeting deadlines. You will ensure that everything is in place to guarantee that all runs smoothly for the processes and teams you support.

Shortlisting criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • A solid background in administration
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above or equivalent
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office

You will be confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to work.
