Housing Apprentice - Temporary Accommodation Assistant

Start or progress your career in Housing, we are offering a level 2 or level 3 in Housing and Property Management. As an apprentice, you will become an important part of the Council’s work. You will, over time, work in varied areas across a range of projects and provide solutions on a range of issues.

What will you be doing?

To provide effective administrative support to the functions of the council’s Temporary Accommodation & Private Sector Leasing (PSL) service for statutory homeless households. 

  • Carry out regular property inspections
  • Deal with anti-social behaviour and breaches of licence agreements
  • Give advice/signpost to clients on welfare benefit entitlements
  • Set rent charges and deal with payments and rent arrears
  • Gather statistical information and prepare reports
  • Attend meetings
  • Arrange for repair and maintenance for clients

What training will you take and what qualification will you get at the end?

  • Qualification: Apprenticeship level 2 or level 3 in Housing and Property Management
  • Distance /online learning with the Learning Foundry Ltd
