About the role

Surrey MASH for Adults is our referral point for adult safeguarding concerns and our MASH team leads our initial response to those concerns. Information is gathered from relevant parties to inform the S42 decision as to whether an adult Safeguarding Enquiry is needed, and then inform what that Enquiry should look like.

We also undertake some Enquiry work and hope to increase our role in this moving forward. We work closely with Police, Health and Children's services colleagues and are continually striving to increase and strengthen networks which benefit adults at risk in Surrey, as well as adjust the way we work to respond to changing needs of our partners.

In your application, we would love to hear about your:

  • Professional qualification in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England
  • Successful completion of an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme if qualified as a social worker after June 2012
  • Ability to make S42 decisions and undertaking enquiries, as well as risk identification and management
  • IT skills, particularly in relation to ASC record databases
  • Commitment towards training and self development

The job advert closes at 23:59 on the 1st of December 2023 with interviews to follow.

An enhanced DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children's and Adults' Barred List checks will be required for this role.
