Job Title: Community Centres Support Officer
Location of work: Town Hall and Community Centres - Banstead, Horley and Woodhatch
Salary: £22,311 to £25,029
Basis: Permanent, Full time
About the Role
Are you a customer-facing people person who is also good with numbers and administration? Would you enjoy a very varied role combining working with the public in our 3 community centres and being responsible for financial and administrative support for these centres?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team. You will be responsible for general business support tasks, assisting with the marketing and promotion of the centres and providing on-site operational support to the 3 centres.
The postholder will be required to work at each centre on regular basis, and cover for members of the centre teams from time to time.
About the person:
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of working with the public and of business support work, including operating finance systems and using a range of IT packages and software. You’ll also need to:
- Be a flexible and effective team member, including having several places of work.
- Have experience of being well organised working in a busy environment.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be highly motivated and confident working with a range of colleagues, volunteers, residents and organisations.
- Be creative in a customer focused service area.
