About the Role

Would you like to use your project management skills to drive forward change with a clear social purpose? Our Community Centres Team are looking for an energetic and experienced project officer to help them deliver a number of service improvement projects across our three community centres.  You will play a key role in delivering the team’s priorities and supporting the transformation of our community centres.

We are looking for a flexible and effective team player, with a proven track record of project management, ideally with experience of working in a political environment.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, project planning skills, as well as strong negotiating and influencing skills. You should be well organised, with a problem-solving approach, and able to deliver work to a deadline.  You will work directly to the Team Leader.

The postholder will be required to work at each centre on regular basis.

In exchange for your expertise, experience and enthusiasm, we will offer support in continuing your personal and career development, in addition to providing a wide range of employment linked benefits.

We provide you with competitive annual leave, and contribute 15% towards the LGPS pension scheme. You will also have access to a range of discounts including local and high street stores, and salary sacrifice schemes including a cycle lease scheme, and ‘Better’ leisure centre membership.
